Job Summary and Responsibilities
To thrive in this role, you’ll heavily depend on your ability to multitask and react. You’ll clinically care for your patients—remaining focused and attentive as you continuously monitor your patients throughout your shift. You also serve as their advocate, supporting their best interests when they cannot. Your sound judgment during an emergency and rapid response is essential, and may position you for advancement. Assesses, plans, and implements nursing care while ensuring patient comfort Anticipates, identifies, and responds to informational and emotional needs of patients and families Guides and directs healthcare personnel (i.e., CNAs) in caring for patients Maintains knowledge of equipment setup, maintenance, and use (i.e., IV pumps, monitoring equipment, and drainage devices) Utilizes safeguards such as the IV pump drug library and monitor alarms as needed Initiates emergency support measures (i.e., cardiopulmonary resuscitation, protecting patient from injury) Assists with patient care duties/tasks (i.e., emptying drainage devices, ambulating, and hygiene) St Elizabeth is a Level III high-risk facility with 11 LDRs + 2 OB ED Beds, 2 ORs, 23 Postpartum rooms, and a 27-bed Level III NICU. Our practitioners include OB/GYN, Family Practice and Nurse Midwives. Our facility offers resources to OB Hospitalists, Maternal-Fetal Medicine and Neonatology experts, and anesthesiology access 24/7. In addition, we offer neonatal transport services. Compensation : Base rate + shift differential Incentives : up to $10,000 sign on bonus, up to $10,000 education assistance (must have graduated within 5 years) Tuition Reimbursement
- $5,525 for full time and $2,750 for part time Considering Experienced RNs , must have at least 1 year of RN experience Job Requirements
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license that allows you to practice in our state Graduate of an accredited nursing program Experience as a Registered Nurse preferred Basic Life Support (BLS) required Specialty certification (e.g., PCCN, CCRN, CNOR, CEN) preferred Additional certification or licensure may be required for some specialty areas Join us at CHI Health St. Elizabeth and become a part of our faith-based health system.
