Days/Hours - Saturday to Tuesday, 9:00pm to 7:30am (4 10-hour shifts) Responsibilities

85% - Technical duties: Assist with medical treatments of hospital patients (e.g., feeding, oral medication administration, restraint for lab samples, etc.). Set up procedures in ER, ICU, Surgery OR, etc., and assist clinicians and technicians during procedures. Ensure services and supplies are charged according to the hospital fee schedule. Enter information into databases (e.g., histories into VetView, proper sample submission, etc.). Answer incoming calls from clients and internal VMC communications, return calls promptly, and send messages accordingly. Order, maintain and restock inventory in various services. Report changes in patient status to clinicians and technicians. Participate in CPR. Assist with patient hospital admissions and discharges. Complete essential VMC tasks including deep cleaning exam rooms, maintaining infection control protocols, emptying DogiPots; retrieving chemo and biohazard bins and transporting them to the appropriate area for outside retrieval. 10% - Clerical duties: Support practice management with office and clerical duties, database management, mail/correspondence, facilities and maintenance, ordering of supplies, billing, and liaison within the VMC. Appointment management including scheduling and updates. 5% - Additional Responsibilities: Participate in practice process improvement initiatives; participate in daily rounds when applicable; other duties as assigned by Supervisor, Clinician, or Director. Transport of samples to diagnostic lab and VMC lab. Transport of patients to and from services. Maintaining sterile fields and proper sterilization, cleaning and packaging for instruments. Qualifications

All required qualifications must be documented on application materials. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Preferred Qualifications/Selection Criteria One year of post-high school experience or education to include: animal restraint, veterinary medical terminology, veterinary anatomy, equine studies, etc. Knowledge of proper restraint and handling of dogs and cats. Experience with basic office procedures and proficiency with Microsoft Office software. Customer service experience. Knowledge of veterinary medical terminology.
