Henry Ford Health seeks a board-certified
Surgical Pathologist
with subspecialty expertise in any of the following areas:
Gastrointestinal / Liver ,
Breast ,
Genitourinary, Head and Neck ,
Bone and Soft Tissue ,
Cytopathology . This position reports to the Vice Chair for Anatomic Pathology and may cover one or more surgical pathology subspecialties. The successful candidate will be accomplished in diagnostics, education and clinical investigation. Academic appointment is in Michigan State University College of Human Medicine.
The Henry Ford Health system is the largest healthcare delivery system in Southeast Michigan. Henry Ford Hospital is an academic medical center with a large graduate medical training program and NIH funding. The Pathology Department is an academic teaching program with Lean management and a large ISO 15189 accredited laboratory system. Pathology oversees laboratory testing at multiple hospitals and clinics, supported by senior staff pathologists and clinical scientists, with substantial testing volume. The Center for Precision Diagnostics provides NGS/genomics testing to support the Henry Ford Cancer Institute’s precision medicine initiatives.
