POSITION SUMMARY
Premier Radiology is seeking a X-Ray Technologist to perform quality x-ray examinations.
POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Explain procedure to patients and answer questions Prepare and position patient for diagnostic imaging procedure Position radiation protection devices such as lead shields Setting x-ray equipment at the correct angle and height over the appropriate area of the patient’s body Setting controls on the x-ray machine to produce x-rays or radiographs of the appropriate density, detail, and contrast Capture image of each angle following physicians orders precisely Evaluate image for quality Maintain patient records/documentation Maintain/adjust equipment DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
High School or equivalent ARRT Licensure BLS Certified Background with eClinicalWorks Practice Management System preferred Ability to use x-ray equipment Ability to work independently Ability to work in a fast-paced, high productivity environment Ability to exercise judgement and make decisions Excellent communication skills to communicate with patients, physicians, clients, coworkers, and management staff Ability to document accurately and concisely Excellent phone and computer skills Ability to maintain sensitive information in confidence Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize diverse responsibilities HIPAA and OSHA knowledge Strong organizational skills Radiology Partners is an equal opportunity employer.
