Position Details At
San Mateo Medical Center , we are committed to providing exceptional care with a dedicated team. We are seeking one full-time and one Relief
Registered Nurse
with Emergency Department experience for evening/night shifts.
The Level 2 Emergency Department offers 24/7 emergency care to an underserved and underinsured population.
Ideal Candidate Qualifications
At least one year or 300 clinical rotation hours in an emergency room and/or Critical Care setting.
Experience caring for patients with multiple co-morbidities.
Experience working with diverse, underserved populations.
Knowledge of current regulatory requirements.
Salary Information Critical Care Nurse : $66.49 - $78.58 Hourly, $5,319.20 - $6,286.40 Biweekly, $11,524.71 - $13,620.27 Monthly
Relief Nurse : $66.02 - $82.52 Hourly, $5,281.60 - $6,601.60 Biweekly, $11,443.47 - $14,303.47 Monthly
Responsibilities
Conduct patient assessments and triage.
Develop and evaluate nursing care plans.
Participate in patient rounds and conferences.
Supervise team members, orient new staff, and teach students.
Perform nursing procedures and administer treatments.
Maintain records, operate medical equipment, and develop discharge plans.
Provide intensive care, monitor life support, and respond to emergencies.
Qualifications
California RN license required.
Current BLS, ACLS, PALS certificates required; CPI certification within three months of hire.
Experience in emergency or critical care preferred.
Knowledge of Nurse Practice Act, safety, and infection control.
Skills in nursing procedures, communication, teamwork, and safety practices.
