Kent Nutrition Group (KNG), a member of the Kent Corporation family of companies, is actively seeking an experienced and proactive Plant Manager to oversee the daily operations of our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient production processes, maintaining high safety standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. This position is designed and intended to be performed in Sheldon, IA.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for all plant activities including but not limited to: overseeing the facilities, plant personnel, plant customer relations, plant operation, plant quality and plant maintenance Ensure the plant is producing feed in accordance with all established policies and procedures Develop and train personnel at all positions, including job operation, efficient work strategies, safety and product quality procedures Lead and manage department leads, assistant plant manager, office manager and other personnel Prepare fiscal year plant goals and objectives with quarterly updates to the regional operations manager Develop and operate within an approved budget; focus areas include staffing, supplies, maintenance, utilities and capital projects Develop scheduled (preventative) maintenance programs for equipment and facilities Contribute to long term strategic planning for the plant Satisfy all quality and regulatory requirements for all products Implement corporate safety programs Coordinate with marketing, nutrition, and sales to enable new product development and innovation Positively manage customer relations both internal and external Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree Minimum of 5-10 years related work experience Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Experience in leading and managing operational teams Financial experience with P&L statements, budgets preparation and capital planning Experience with regulatory agencies such as FDA, OSHA, EPA Additional training such as GMPs, HACCP, SFSF Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word Knowledge of Feed Mill operations preferred

EXPECTED TRAVEL

Up to 10% travel for meetings or training may be required.
