David's Bridal . Alterations Specialists are responsible for completing all fittings and alterations to the high standards of David’s Bridal and report to the Store Manager. They exemplify friendly, knowledgeable, and technical expertise and provide superior customer service. Alterations Specialists are members of the store team and demonstrate the value and qualities of the David’s Bridal brand.
Responsibilities
Welcome all customers with genuine, friendly enthusiasm over the phone, virtual chats and in person, communicate clearly and concisely, adapt style to suit customers, problem solve, possess excellent phone skills and resolve conflicts.
Use all systems to manage the customer flow to deliver a five-star customer experience.
Maintain service levels by being Prepared, Welcoming, meeting needs, and being there for customers, including operational checklist tasks and addressing emotional and practical needs.
Provide exceptional service to multiple customers at one time and contribute to the store’s Five-Star Customer Service goals.
Proactively address customer concerns with confidence; know when to escalate and partner with leadership.
Communicate how alterations can help perfect the dress for the event; promote all alteration services and personalization options.
Assist stylists in closing sales by consulting on gown fit and customization.
Maintain store standards to support a flawless shopping experience and comply with the Dress Code Policy.
Greet and escort alterations customers to and from appointments.
Inspect garments altered/steamed/pressed to verify pristine condition before final delivery.
Respond promptly to customer questions with product and service information.
Build long-term relationships with customers to exceed satisfaction and loyalty.
Maintain inventory management by processing special orders and ensuring first quality standards for all merchandise.
Ensure alteration pricing aligns with company standards.
Manage all alterations, fittings, sewing, steaming, pressing, and spot cleaning to company standards.
Resolve customer service issues in line with company guidelines.
Support all cash wrap behaviors and process transactions accurately to ensure customers feel celebrated.
Keep the alterations room clean and well-organized.
Performs duties and tasks as assigned by store management.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
1-2 years’ retail experience in apparel or a specialty store
Prior sewing experience required, preferably in bridal and/or special occasion production
Prior experience with computerized POS is a plus
