Duties and Responsibilities

Oversight of the JMU Athletic Ticket Office and its staff and execution of its operations while providing the highest level of customer service and maximizing potential revenue.

Direct supervision of Director of Athletic Ticketing to include oversight and leadership for the Director's management of Ticket Office Manager, Ticket Office Intern, Student-Workers, and additional Game Day Staff.

Oversee the hiring and training of Ticket Office Staff as needed as well as student internship and practicum opportunities to provide specialized game day staffing and foster potential future Athletic Department Staff. Ensure execution of Ticket Office operations including ticket sales (walkup, phone, & internet), fund depositing, and customer relations and service.

Manage season ticket sales for Football, Men\'s & Women\'s Basketball, including preseason renewals, promotion of new sales, seat allocations, Duke Club donation compliance, packaging, and delivery.

Manage ticket sales for ad hoc and special events while working closely with other Athletics and University Offices.

Provide student ticketing services for home, away, and postseason contests - collaborate on and promote student attendance efforts and facilitate associated ticketing.

Facilitate season parking passes for Football and Men\'s and Women\'s Basketball.

Ensure compliance with all financial reconciliations for daily transactions as well as monthly and annual activity. Provide tickets sales and revenue reports as requested.

Analyze past sales and trends to set prices annually and budget annual revenue goals.

Fulfill University and State audit and record retention guidelines.

Follow NCAA Rules and Regulations, working with JMU Athletic Compliance office.

Manage Paciolan Ticketing Software: Keep Athletic Department current with new developments in software and internet applications. Train appropriate Athletic and University staff as needed to be knowledgeable and efficient with Paciolan software applications.

Qualifications The required qualifications at the Assistant Athletic Director level are:

At least five (5) years of full-time experience leading a College Athletics or professional sports tickets operations;

At least three (3) years of additional full-time experience in college or professional sports with an emphasis on demonstrated success in revenue generation, fan engagement or development.

Experience with Paciolan (or similar) tickets operations software

At least three (3) years of experience supervising full-time staff members

A proven track record of managing collaborative relationships, the ability to use various software applications and databases to maintain and review multiple reports.

The required qualifications at the Associate Athletic Director level are:

At least five (5) years of full-time experience leading a College Athletics or professional sports tickets operations;

At least five (5) years of additional full-time experience in college or professional sports with an emphasis on demonstrated success in revenue generation, fan engagement or development.

Experience with Paciolan (or similar) tickets operations software

At least five (5) years of experience supervising full-time staff members

A proven track record of managing collaborative relationships, the ability to use various software applications and databases to maintain and review multiple reports.
