Position Overview
As the
Senior Air Quality Manager , you will drive strategic growth, oversee technical delivery, and manage a team of air quality professionals. This role requires deep expertise in
air permitting regulations , a strong business development mindset, and the ability to lead complex projects from concept through execution. Key Responsibilities
Lead the delivery of air quality permitting and compliance projects, including:
Title V ,
NSR ,
PSD ,
minor source permits Conduct impact assessments and prepare technical documentation for
CEQA
and
NEPA
projects across the state Compliance programs such as
NESHAP ,
MACT ,
GHG reporting ,
RMP , and other
CAA
requirements Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, offering regulatory strategy and permitting guidance under federal, state, and local rules Drive business development efforts, including client outreach, proposal development, and account growth Build and manage client relationships with a focus on retention, satisfaction, and expanding service offerings Recruit, mentor, and manage technical staff while fostering a collaborative, high-performing team culture Support project scoping, budgeting, scheduling, quality control, and regulatory negotiations Qualifications
Experience in air quality permitting and compliance; prior consulting experience preferred Demonstrated success in
business development , client relationship management, and revenue generation Strong technical understanding of federal and state air regulations, including
Title V ,
NSR ,
PSD , and
GHG programs Proven leadership experience, including mentoring staff and managing project teams Excellent communication, proposal writing, and project management skills Why Join Us?
