Assistant Director for Leadership and Curricular Engagement

The Assistant Director for Leadership and Curricular Engagement is responsible for the development, implementation, and assessment of the curricular approach in all residential facilities. This position serves as a resource for residential students and campus partners and supervises the Residential Education Program Advisors (PAs) student staff team and Assistant Resident Directors (ARDs) senior student staff team. The Assistant Director is responsible for the implementation and management of large-scale curricular strategies with an emphasis on initiatives that enhance understanding and respect for the residential and Highlander community. This position also serves as the Executive Advisor to the Housing student organizations. Requirements Bachelor's degree in a related area and/or equivalent experience/training. Master's degree required. 6-10 years of related experience. Advanced knowledge of advising and counseling techniques. Advanced knowledge of common University-specific computer application programs. Advanced knowledge of Student Affairs/Student Life specialization. Skills in judgment and decision-making, problem-solving, identifying measures of system performance, and the actions to improve performance. Advanced abilities in project management, problem identification, and reasoning skills. Advanced ability to develop original ideas to solve problems. Ability to work independently. Preferred Qualifications Demonstrated ability to collect, analyze, and assess data related to student success, development, and program effectiveness.
