Quality Carriers, Inc. (QC) , headquartered in Tampa, FL, is North America's largest bulk liquid chemical carrier. Through a network of more than 100 terminals and facilities, we transport a broad range of chemical products and provide our customers with value-added transportation services. Essential Functions
Oversee the management of daily planning functions; assist Assistant Terminal Manager and Operations Manager with decision-making and driver management. Review and keep up to date all customer contracts for adequate fuel surcharges, rates on line haul and tank wash charges. Ensure all safety requirements are met. Driver recruitment, retention, payroll, correcting settlements issues, maintenance and enforcement of safety compliance of drivers and equipment. Leads incident investigations and utilizes the 5-why process. Employee development: weekly one-on-ones with direct reports, support of the management trainee program, weekly meeting leadership and training. Communication with customers on service and rates, resolution of customer service and vendor issues. Monitoring of terminal expenses and revenue. Purchase of office supplies, safety supplies. Management of capital projects. Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned. Hire, train and manage customer service representatives, drivers, dispatchers, and terminal support. Support the management trainee program. Minimum education/experience
4 year degree in Business or Engineering 5 to 10 years bulk transportation or chemical industry experience. Minimum special knowledge and skills
Knowledge of bulk trucking terminal operations and standard procedures. Basic computer knowledge. Knowledge of Microsoft Office products helpful. Good communication skills and ability to deal with people. Strong math skills, accounting/budget experience helpful. Good problem solving skills. Benefits/Compensation
