category expert,
you will drive sales by creating and
designing top-level presentations
incorporating retailer or
syndicated data and utilizing various research materials & tools
available through our internal teams. You will partner with Sales and Business Intelligence team members to
present key findings, along with actionable insights , to recommend changes, create effective planograms, and drive results for our clients and customers. Responsibilities Provide analytical support for Space and Category Management projects utilizing retailer and/or syndicated data, industry-standard reports, and Acosta’s proprietary Space analysis tools. Use Space-related insights to develop and maintain best-in-class planograms; implement approved recommendations, clients’ shelving standard, s and customer-specific objectives. Partner with Business Managers and other Business Intelligence (BI) associates to create sales presentations addressing client or customer business issues; ensure quality results of final deliverables. Identify category space optimization opportunities, gain support for proposed changes and follow through on implementation. Create client-specific reports measuring performance against strategic initiatives and objectives; update and refresh weekly and monthly dashboards for assigned clients. Keep abreast of clients’ Key Performance Indices (KPIs), strategies, and innovation; share information with BI and Sales partners. Engage with data/tool vendors to manage quality control of data sources, ensuring accuracy of all reports/deliverables. Qualifications Education Requirements High School Diploma/GED, Bachelor’s Degree (preferred) Related work experience can be substituted for the educational requirement Category Management Certification Preferred Work Experience Requirements : 3-5 years related work experience Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements : College degree or equivalent work experience, including a minimum of 3 years in the
Consumer Package Goods
(CPG) industry 3 – 5 years of experience utilizing Blue Yonder, JDA Apollo, or other Space Management software, including
advanced expertise in Space Analytics An advanced degree of proficiency in Windows and related software applications, including
Excel
and
PowerPoint ; knowledge of
Power BI is
preferable Effectively and independently conduct data mining operations utilizing retailer or syndicated data (IRI/Nielsen), CPG math concepts, and standard analytical tools Self-starter - Identify and leverage relevant data to diagnose situations,
identify potential solutions,
and drive results Clearly and concisely communicate relevant information and present to business partners, clients, and customers Strong organizational skills and ability to
