Summary The Senior Manager, Supply Chain Warehouse 2 is a strategic and hands‑on leader responsible for overseeing all aspects of warehouse and distribution operations. This role focuses on optimizing the entire product flow, from receiving and storage to order fulfillment and dispatch. The ideal candidate will use a comprehensive understanding of supply chain principles and data analytics to drive operational efficiency, enhance productivity, and ensure the highest standards of safety and accuracy. This position requires strong leadership, problem‑solving skills, and the ability to manage cross‑functional collaboration to meet organizational goals and exceed customer expectations.
Detailed Description Key duties include:
Operational Management:
Oversee daily warehouse activities, including receiving, inventory management, order picking, packing, and shipping. Implement and refine operational policies and procedures to maximize efficiency and minimize costs.
Team Leadership:
Supervise, mentor, and train warehouse staff. Manage team schedules, assign tasks, and conduct performance evaluations to foster a productive and motivated work environment.
Inventory Control:
Maintain accurate inventory records through regular audits and cycle counts. Implement systems to optimize storage space and manage product flow.
Logistics & Distribution:
Coordinate with logistics providers, suppliers, and internal departments (e.g., procurement, production, customer service) to ensure timely and cost‑effective delivery of goods.
Safety and Compliance:
Enforce strict adherence to all company, local, state, and federal health and safety regulations, including OSHA standards. Maintain a clean and secure work environment and oversee the regular maintenance of all equipment and machinery.
Performance Analysis:
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on‑time shipments, inventory accuracy, and labor costs. Prepare and present regular reports to senior management, identifying areas for continuous improvement.
Budgeting:
Contribute to the development and management of the annual warehouse budget, scheduling expenditures and analyzing variances to meet financial objectives.
Process Improvement:
Identify and implement process improvements, leveraging technology and best practices to enhance warehouse functionality and streamline the supply chain.

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies
Supply Chain Expertise:
Deep knowledge of supply chain management, warehousing, and logistics.
Leadership:
Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team to achieve operational and performance goals.
Technical Proficiency:
Strong familiarity with
Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
Analytical Skills:
Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to use data to make informed decisions and improve processes.
Communication:
Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with staff, senior management, and external partners.
Organizational Skills:
Exceptional organizational abilities with a keen attention to detail.
Adaptability Adaptability:
Ability to thrive under pressure in a dynamic, deadline‑driven environment.
Physical Demands
Stand or walk for extended periods.
Lift, carry, and move items up to 50 lbs.
Operate or oversee the use of warehouse equipment, such as forklifts or pallet jacks (certification is a plus).
Typical Experience
7 years of experience
in a warehouse or logistics management role.
Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
Demonstrated success in implementing process improvements and optimizing warehouse operations.
Typical Education Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.
