About The Role As an Engagement Manager in our Government practice, you will be the key player on a team that guides customers through the deployment lifecycle, solution delivery, and issue management by partnering with Workday Delivery leadership, consultants, and resource management. You will be the Workday leader responsible for managing the Customer experience through deployments, handling a portfolio of project engagements (external customer facing deployments and internal Workday engagements).
You will ensure the successful implementation of the Workday product on some of our largest projects for our Government customer base. The Engagement Manager will drive the client implementation, contribute to key project deliverables (e.g., charter, project/staffing plan, issue logs), and work with the Client project manager to resolve issues hindering project success. You will manage to the agreed-upon budget and deliver the project profitably.
What you’ll be doing
Project manage one or more Workday product implementations concurrently
Ensure the project is delivered within the budget and time outlined in the SOW
Participate in the sales cycle to gather requirements, formulate delivery approach, and develop a proposal/SOW
Provide guidance and mentoring to Professional Services resources
Ensure projects are properly planned and staffed
Identify and resolve issues that could impact scope or timeframes with the client project manager
Work with Delivery Assurance to ensure compliance with checkpoints
Present at Executive Steering Committee meetings
Leverage Workday best practices with clients
Act as liaison for Professional Services when interacting with sales and/or development
Identify opportunities to position other service offerings
Ensure the client can serve as a reference upon completion of implementation
Assist in the transition of the customer from Professional Services to Product Support
Present change orders when tasks fall outside the SOW scope
Expected results within 12 months
Become an expert in Workday's Implementation Methodology and use it on all engagements
Demonstrate proficiency in the Workday HCM, Financials, and/or Payroll product suite

About You Basic Qualifications: Sr Engagement Manager (P4)
Demonstrable experience (6+ years) of project managing Medium and/or Large Enterprise ERP implementations, preferably within Federal, State & Local Government and/or Higher Education
Experience (6+ years) in implementing Workday, Oracle, PeopleSoft, SAP, Ultimate, Lawson or similar applications
Solid grasp (6+ years) of at least one ERP area: Financials, HCM, Payroll, Services Procurement or similar
Basic Qualifications: Principal Engagement Manager (P5)
Demonstrable experience (8+ years) of project managing Medium and/or Large Enterprise ERP implementations, preferably within Federal, State & Local Government and/or Higher Education
Experience (8+ years) in implementing Workday, Oracle, PeopleSoft, SAP, Ultimate, Lawson or similar applications
Solid grasp (8+ years) of at least one ERP area: Financials, HCM, Payroll, Services Procurement or similar
Other Qualifications
Experience managing 3rd parties on a project
Experience within the Public Sector
Business development experience
Previous service sales experience is a plus; balance of functional and technical experience
Prior consulting experience
Experience in financial implementations or knowledge of financial processes is desirable
Strong conflict management, influencing, and relationship management skills
Ability to travel 50% or more of the time
