Hutch Kids Early Learning Center offers quality early childhood education for infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children. We are seeking a Support Teacher to help lead classroom instruction, assist lead and assistant teachers, and build strong relationships with children, families, and faculty.
Summary Support teachers are essential to our mission of providing a child-centered, developmentally appropriate, emergent curriculum. They step into classrooms when lead or assistant teachers are ill, on vacation, or cover planning time, meetings, and PTO. Support teachers work with children of all ages, maintain warm, professional relationships, and foster a diverse, equitable, and inclusive environment.
Responsibilities
Cover lead and assistant teachers during absences and vacation, ensuring continuity of instruction.
Assist with classroom planning, meetings, and PTO, contributing to a supportive and positive team culture.
Build and maintain positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
Promote positive discipline practices, energetic, devoted to child-centered learning.
Requirements
High school diploma or GED; college coursework in ECE preferred.
Minimum of 1‑year teaching experience with young children.
Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. unassisted, stand, bend, climb, and walk.
Must have a negative TB skin test taken within the past year.
Must have proof of MMR vaccinations or immunity.
Must have had a current flu vaccine.
Must be able to present or pass a DCYF background check.
Must have current First Aid/CPR and Blood‑borne pathogen certificate within 10 days of hire.
Must be able to work in a culturally diverse environment.
Flexible, patient, and communicative team player.
Benefits
Full‑time, 40 hours/week, Monday – Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Hourly salary of $25.18.
