Position Summary

As the

Production Supervisor , you play a vital role in ensuring employee safety, maintaining product quality, and optimizing asset performance, all while adhering to the production schedule. This position demands exceptional leadership skills, including active participation in the hiring process, onboarding new employees, managing performance, and implementing corrective actions. You will champion continuous improvement initiatives throughout the plant and foster proactive collaboration with other teams on-site and within the broader division. Lead by example to cultivate a workplace culture that inspires and motivates associates at all levels. Your commitment to achieving results will be evaluated through key performance metrics.

Work Schedule

Monday - Friday / 3:00pm - 11:30pm (flexibility to work weekends when required)

Key Responsibilities

Ensure the timely implementation of the people development plan and verify the competencies of your team in accordance with the plan with the Project Manager. Provide proper training, including equipment operation, safety procedures, and hygiene practices. Enforce compliance with SOPs among all team members. Maintain a safe work environment at all times. Ensure updated work instructions are available for all positions and that processes are carried out in accordance with SOPs, SSOPs, and other relevant documentation. Communicate and execute activities with environmental impact in accordance with environmental management protocols. Ensure the achievement of quality objectives, including regular adherence to GMPs, sanitation audits, food safety checks, and product quality inspections as per company policies. Actively participate in preventing and correcting quality-related errors. Monitor and enforce personnel hygiene and safety practices, coach employees to meet and exceed job requirements using the NCE approach. Review daily target achievements and report deviations. Develop and implement action plans to address root causes and support continuous improvement. Facilitate smooth handoffs and communicate key information to peers, team members, and Production Management. Ensure continuous line controls and take immediate corrective action to maintain quality standards and comply with manufacturing instructions, regulations, procedures, and policies. Manage employee and industrial relations to ensure smooth factory operations. Ensure adequate skills distribution to achieve the production plan. Coordinate with quality, engineering, and administration to maintain facilities. Review daily maintenance effectiveness and prioritize, schedule, and complete maintenance and repairs to maximize efficiency.

Experience & Education Requirements

BA/BS degree or equivalent experience, with a minimum of 3 years of manufacturing or production experience (military experience considered) in lieu of a degree. 1-3 years of prior production supervisory experience required. Ability to maintain a safe working environment through effective housekeeping and safety practices. Excellent communication skills (oral, written, listening). Basic understanding of warehousing concepts. Strong interpersonal skills, adaptability, and the ability to tailor communication styles to different audiences; experience in facilitating group coaching and developing others. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills with root cause problem-solving. High energy, excellent follow-up skills, and familiarity with ERP systems (SAP strongly preferred). Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with NT/XP/Vista operating systems. Physical Demands: ability to lift 15-20 lb boxes repeatedly and stand for extended periods.

Compensation and Benefits

The approximate pay range for this position is $80,000.00 to $90,000.00. Final compensation may vary based on knowledge, skills, abilities, and geographic location.
