What you’ll spend your time on

This sourcing professional will collaborate with business unit stakeholders to identify opportunities, develop sourcing strategies, and execute core initiatives. Balance daily sourcing activity with higher-priority initiatives. This is a leadership role with accountability for managing workload among a small team and optimizing Cohesity’s investments. Sourcing Acumen

Drive development and execution of high-impact strategic sourcing projects aligned with Cohesity’s priorities. Use data analytics, benchmarking, and strategic sourcing methodologies to identify opportunities and execute sourcing strategies. Develop and present annual category sourcing plans with savings targets, benchmarking, and evaluation metrics; deliver on them annually. Develop and maintain a preferred supply base for assigned spend categories globally. Lead negotiations with suppliers across functions to maximize value and minimize risk. Manage strategic supplier relationships with cross-functional impact across geographies. Draft and negotiate contract terms for Cohesity’s commercial benefit while mitigating legal risk. Monitor and evaluate savings targets, contributing to category goals quarterly/annually. Coach and develop sourcing team members to advance expertise and delivery. Business Acumen

Maintain Cohesity training requirements; actively seek opportunities to learn more. Ensure knowledge of and compliance with Cohesity Sourcing, Procurement and Legal policies. Deliver results with ethics aligned to Cohesity’s RADIO values. Demonstrate strong interpersonal communication and the ability to collaborate across diverse personalities. Cultivate collaboration within and across organizational boundaries. Support the team and contribute to a positive team mindset. Stakeholder Focus

Develop a stakeholder road map and engagement plan using spend analytics for assigned categories. Serve as a trusted advisor, providing technical sourcing consulting from an external benchmark perspective. Educate stakeholders on sourcing discipline and demonstrate value return. Develop partnerships with legal, accounting, and finance stakeholders. Collaborate cross-functionally to support sourcing and procurement processes and drive operational efficiency. Influence strategic supplier selection and management through effective relationships. Qualifications – We’d love to talk with you if you have many of the following

8+ years of relevant strategic sourcing experience, including enterprise cloud and software suppliers. Effective time and workload management; ability to handle daily projects while prioritizing high-return initiatives. Track record of identifying and executing high-impact sourcing strategies. Strong communication, influence, and collaboration skills across organizational levels. Solid business insight with strategic, financial, and operational capabilities. Excellent project management skills to drive multiple complex, high-risk projects across functions and geographies. Negotiation excellence on large-volume, high-risk deals. Disclosure pursuant to applicable state equal pay transparency laws: starting pay range is listed below. Actual salary depends on factors including skills, qualifications, location, and expectations. This position may be eligible for bonuses, commissions (if in sales), and/or equity grants. Full-time employees are eligible for our comprehensive benefits including health and wellness benefits, vacation, paid holidays and refresh days, 401(k), life and disability insurance, and other offerings.
