Job Title: Director, People Services Organization: Lifepoint Health / Havasu Regional Medical Center Job Type: Full Time, Exempt Position Summary
Directs the department's activities and resources to achieve departmental and organizational objectives. Essential Functions
To perform this job, an individual must perform each essential function satisfactorily with or without a reasonable accommodation. Develops and implements departmental goals, plans, and standards consistent with the clinical, administrative, legal, and ethical requirements/objectives of the organization. Directs and evaluates departmental operations, including patient care delivery, information technologies, service level determination, and complaint management, to achieve performance and quality control objectives. Plans and monitors staffing activities, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions, and continuing education initiatives. Prepares, monitors, and evaluates departmental budgets, and ensures that the department operates in compliance with allocated funding. Coordinates and directs internal/external audits. Creates and fosters an environment that encourages professional growth. Ensures department stays focused on their important role in the continuum of care. Regular and reliable attendance. Perform other duties as assigned. Position serves both internal co-workers and external customers, clients, patients, contractors, and vendors. Access to and/or works with sensitive and/or confidential information. Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of healthcare regulatory and compliance (e.g., HIPAA). Skilled in the application of policies and procedures. Knowledge of Business Office Standards and Recommended Practices. Supervisory Responsibilities
Manage the work of others, including planning, assigning, scheduling and reviewing work, ensures quality standards. Responsible for hiring, terminating, training and developing, reviewing performance and administering corrective action for staff. Education and Experience
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred; applicable work experience may be used in lieu of education. Experience: Must have at least four years of professional Human Resources experience within a healthcare setting. Skills
Business Mathematical Skills — Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages; interpret graphs. Moderate Computer Skills — Proficient with email, word processing, data entry, spreadsheets, databases, and presentations. Complex Communication — Ability to convey and address complex information, motivate, and persuade others. Varied Business Problems — Analytical with the ability to solve varied and complex problems. Department Specific — Understands impact of decisions on department management and operations. Functional Independent Judgement — Sets goals and priorities for the functional area; may make policy recommendations. Project Planning/Organization — Handles multiple projects with task delegation, oversight, and resource allocation. Physical and Mental Demands
