A K-12 school in Riverside, CA is seeking two full-time Orientation and Mobility Specialists (OMS) to provide expert support for students with visual impairments. This contract position is for the new school year and offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on student independence and mobility skills. Responsibilities: Conduct assessments and develop individualized orientation and mobility plans for students with visual impairments Teach safe and effective travel techniques to students in various environments inside and outside the classroom Collaborate with teachers, families, and other specialists to support student learning and access Monitor student progress and adjust instruction as needed to meet student goals Maintain accurate documentation and comply with district policies and regulations Qualifications: Certification as an Orientation and Mobility Specialist (COMS) or equivalent Experience working with school-age children, preferably in K-12 settings Strong understanding of visual impairments and mobility strategies Excellent communication and collaboration skills Ability to develop and implement individualized student plans Location: Riverside, CA This full-time contract role offers the chance to join a dedicated educational environment focused on supporting the unique needs of students with visual impairments.
