Multi-Unit Team Leader responsible for providing leadership over three H&R Block tax offices, guiding customer-centric teams to accelerate seasonal tax business. This role is not remote and requires in-person work. A flexible part-time schedule begins in the fall to prepare for the busy tax season, with a transition to full-time January to April, including evenings and weekends as needed. Responsibilities
Provide leadership over three tax offices and lead daily team meetings Direct leadership and development of associates, delivering an outstanding client experience and achieving office growth objectives Manage office staffing, operations, and logistics for multiple offices with support from Associate Team Leaders Partner with the District General Manager to create and implement office-level growth plans and client growth targets, including developing local partnerships and managing office community involvement Assist DGM in recruiting and interviewing candidates for tax office associate positions Conduct timely performance reviews and resolve associate issues in collaboration with the Associate Relations Center Build an engaging team environment through training and coaching; recognize outstanding contributions Create associate work schedules across all offices and ensure accurate timekeeping and labor management Travel between offices as required Prepare tax returns as needed, upon successful completion of the Income Tax Course or Tax Knowledge Assessment* Qualifications / Expertise
People management experience with a track record of growing and developing associates Aptitude for executing growth plans and fostering a growth-oriented culture Strong decision-making and judgment in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-centric mindset Computer proficiency in MS Office Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or high school diploma with equivalent experience Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course (if preparing tax returns)* What you’ll bring to the team
