Reports to:
Project Manager and Quality Control Manager
Position:
Full Time
Schedule:
Up to 6 days per week, 12 hours per day. Project starts beginning of October 2025.
Location:
Charleston, SC
Responsibilities
Work closely and collaboratively with a team of engineers and geologists to optimize development planning and execution of drilling and soil mixing cutoff wall construction.
Data acquisition and interpretation, assess drill performance, and support field activities.
Supervise and support daily site activities to ensure conditions align with plans and designs.
Manage preparation of plans and construction details throughout the project.
Oversee day-to-day field activities, compile daily production reports, and communicate with the client regularly.
Perform and supervise quality testing for deep foundations and earthwork.
Support in preparing daily activity reports, weekly cost analysis, and final reports.
Collaborate with contractors in performing quality control works, reporting, and updating databases.
Follow up on projects to completion and identify/mitigate potential problems, proposing resolutions.
Conduct various sampling and quality testing on all work as required by contract and/or client.
Create quality reports and findings on investigations and in-field problems and solutions.
Adhere to Bauer safety practices and policies and work with site management to execute construction details efficiently.
Assist in generating plans and operating procedures to relay to clients and compile testing and reports for client presentations.
Requirements
A willingness to travel to gain experience on various job sites with different techniques, people, and geologic environments.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
A strong work ethic and dedication to professional growth.
Conscientious work habits with attention to detail, clear documentation, and communication skills.
Respectful team player committed to aiding the development of colleagues.
Ability to think critically, provide solutions, and decide on a course of action.
Willingness to accept and implement constructive feedback from managers.
Ethical behavior at all times.
Familiarity with RMS is considered an asset.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
Experience in geotechnical/foundation projects is strongly preferred.
Compensation and Benefits Competitive salary; commensurate with experience.
