Role description:
Arcadis is looking for a Senior Water & Hydraulic Engineer to join our team in Toledo, Cleveland, or Akron, OH, within our Water Resiliency Planning & Design Teams.
As a Senior Water & Hydraulic Engineer, you will leverage your expertise in hydraulics, collection system planning, and computer modeling, combined with data analytics, to guide local project teams. You will lead projects, mentor junior staff, and develop new business opportunities, contributing to climate change adaptation and urban resiliency.
Role Accountabilities
Develop wastewater and stormwater collection system models, conduct system planning, and perform regulatory studies.
Provide technical input on projects, guide teams, and ensure successful project delivery.
Develop and review technical reports.
Lead client presentations, coordinate project deliverables, and contribute to scope and pursuit strategies.
Enhance team knowledge through workshops, industry presentations, and reviewing publications.
Travel may be required for site visits, meetings, or oversight.
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 7 years of experience in water and hydraulic engineering.
Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or a Professional Engineer (PE) license, or the ability to obtain within one year.
Strong experience with hydraulic modeling (SWMM and/or ICM) and proficiency in GIS.
Key Skills And Attributes
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
Deep understanding of wastewater hydraulic modeling and master planning.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree.
Project delivery experience.
Familiarity with programming tools like Power BI or Python.
