Overview
Duration: 12-month contract
Responsibilities
This position is advisory rather than hands-on; general knowledge of all facilities and maintenance equipment is required (not a SME on any specific area).
Ensure manufacturing/facility assets operate efficiently by performing installations, scheduled maintenance, and emergency repairs, while also managing projects, inspecting systems, and troubleshooting complex problems using diagnostic tools and technical knowledge.
Develop and maintain corporate maintenance standards; audit existing manufacturing plants to evaluate and implement corporate standards; build maintenance organizations for new plants; support standardization with strong working knowledge of Maximo (CMMS).
Set up and advance Condition Based Maintenance (CbM) programs, guiding plants to transition from calendar-based maintenance to automated CbM programs.
Engage and guide customers to business requirements and use those requirements to scope, budget, schedule, and deliver corporate standards that meet customer needs.
Work with a Computerized Maintenance Management System; Maintenace of Preventative Maintenance Schedules; Troubleshoot manufacturing equipment; Plan Work/Activities; Supervise Trades; Run Installation Projects (budgets/safety/schedule).
Experience
Experience working in a Maintenance/Facilities department within an actual Manufacturing Plant.
Experience with smart sensors and evaluating their uses.
Skills
Strong leadership/team skills.
Desire awareness of Industrial automation, such as PLC, OPC, SCADA, Historian, CMMS.
Strong understanding of maintenance measures / metrics.
Education
BS in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related technical degree strongly preferred.
Travel Requirements
Travel could be up to 50% depending on the project.
Travel to a site will be required for evaluations, audits and implementing solutions/improvements.
