Responsibilities

Assist with medication evaluation and management, screenings, annual wellness visits, and acute sick visits for residents and patients at Damar Health Services.

Provide primary care, medication management, and consultation services to both residential and outpatient patients.

Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests and prescribe psychotropic medications to treat individuals, including those with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Conduct training to health services staff as needed.

Collaborate with internal and external medical providers to ensure continuity of care.

Maintain on-call availability as required.

Contribute to policy development, quality improvement, and practice evaluation.

Ensure clinical outcomes are met and comply with HIPAA and other regulatory standards.

Qualifications

Current and valid license from the State Board of Nursing for Advanced Practice.

Accredited to practice as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner by AANP or ANCC.

Valid prescriptive authority and meet all state and national legal requirements.

Minimum 6 months of APRN experience (pediatric and psychiatric experience a plus).

Minimum age of 21 per licensure requirements.

Background screening and criminal offense requirements met.

Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen and physical.

Essential Job Functions Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight up to 35 lbs; to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard; to verbally communicate to exchange information.
