Responsibilities

Admissions Management:

Manage new admissions, conduct thorough medical clearances, and evaluate the medical stability of clients, addressing any urgent medical concerns in collaboration with nursing staff.

Client Assessment:

Assess and treat clients with medical conditions requiring care and intervention, ensuring a holistic approach to their health.

Documentation Excellence:

Complete all required documentation promptly, including assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, group notes, and discharge summaries, in accordance with established standards.

Collaborative Care:

Work closely with other members of the treatment team to ensure cohesive and comprehensive care for our clients.

Engagement:

Attend and actively engage in mandatory staff meetings and training sessions to stay updated on best practices and facility protocols.

On-Call Responsibilities:

Participate in on-call duty responsibilities as needed, providing essential support to our team and clients.

Infection Control:

Facilitate and support the infection prevention and control program throughout the facility, developing, implementing, and evaluating policies and procedures related to infection control in client care.

Communication:

Maintain strong communication with other clinical team members, outpatient providers, and family members to ensure continuity of care.

Supervisory Compliance:

If required by state law, provide services within a supervisory or collaborative framework, ensuring compliance with Physician Supervision Agreements or Physician Collaboration Agreements.

Additional Duties:

Perform additional duties as assigned to support the overall mission of Newport Healthcare/PrairieCare.

Qualifications

Education:

Master’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution required.

Licensure:

Licensed as a Family Nurse Practitioner in the state of practice.

DEA License:

Current DEA license is required.

Experience:

Minimum of two (2) years of experience practicing as an FNP and working with adolescents required.

Preferred Experience:

Experience working with clients in a residential or psychiatric treatment setting is strongly preferred.

Pay range for this position is $130,000k to $145,000k annually, depending on education and years of experience.

An individual’s pay rate within the posted range is determined by several factors, including skills, experience, education, and market conditions. Additionally, we consider internal equity to ensure fairness within our organization.
