Overview
Family Nurse Practitioner role at PrairieCare / Newport Healthcare. We are seeking a compassionate NP to join a multidisciplinary team in psychiatric care, focusing on adolescents and residential treatment settings.
Responsibilities
Admissions Management: Manage new admissions, conduct medical clearances, and evaluate medical stability in collaboration with nursing staff.
Client Assessment: Assess and treat clients with medical conditions requiring care and intervention.
Documentation: Complete assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, group notes, and discharge summaries promptly, in accordance with standards.
Collaborative Care: Work with the treatment team to provide cohesive, comprehensive care.
Engagement: Attend mandatory staff meetings and training sessions.
On-Call: Participate in on-call duties as needed.
Infection Control: Support infection prevention and control programs, developing and evaluating related policies and procedures.
Communication: Maintain communication with clinical team members, outpatient providers, and families.
Supervisory Compliance: Provide services within supervisory or collaborative frameworks as required by state law.
Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned to support Newport Healthcare/PrairieCare.
Qualifications
Education: Master’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
Licensure: Licensed as a Family Nurse Practitioner in the state of practice.
DEA License: Current DEA license.
Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of experience as an FNP, with adolescents required.
Preferred: Experience in residential or psychiatric treatment settings.
Compensation and Benefits Pay range for this position is $130,000 to $145,000 annually, depending on education and years of experience.
