Position Summary:
MRI Technologists are responsible for performing clinical MRI exams, including patient screening for MRI safety, patient positioning, and coil and protocol selection. Education, License & Cert:
Graduate of a 24-month AMA-approved radiologic technology program, NYS License, CPR Certified, ARRT(MR) certification or eligible. Experience:
Minimum of six months preferred as a registered MR Technologist. Essential Functions: Preparing and positioning patients for MRI of various body parts, setting up equipment, and ensuring proper patient positioning. Screening patients and personnel for ferrous metal implants or objects, ensuring safety protocols are followed. Selecting appropriate pulse sequences based on physician protocols, recording all sequences, and recommending protocol changes if necessary. Evaluating scan results for quality and completeness, manipulating images, and recognizing and rectifying problems. Sending images to PACS, evaluating exam completeness, and verifying in a timely manner. Performing daily Quality Assurance tests on equipment. Monitoring cryogen levels to maintain magnet integrity. Reporting system problems and documenting accurately. Other Duties: Cleaning and restocking rooms daily. Handling stressful situations, reacting quickly in emergencies, and working all shifts, including weekends, on-call, and holidays. Performing physical tasks such as lifting, pushing, reaching, bending, and walking. Salary Range: Min $32.28 Max $48.42 About Us:
