This is a full-time, on-site role located in Portsmouth, VA for the positions of Mechanic I, Mechanic II, and Mechanic Supervisor. The Mechanic will be responsible for performing maintenance, preventive maintenance, and repair on various heavy equipment. Day-to-day tasks include troubleshooting mechanical issues, ensuring equipment operates efficiently, and maintaining detailed records of all work performed. The role requires coordinating with other team members and departments to ensure seamless operations and timely completion of tasks.
Qualifications
Maintenance, Preventive Maintenance, and Maintenance & Repair skills
Experience with Heavy Equipment operations and repair
Strong Troubleshooting abilities for mechanical and technical issues
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Relevant certifications or vocational training in mechanics or a related field
Experience in a supervisory role (for Mechanic Supervisor position)
Valid driver's license is required
