Position Profile This entry‑level position is located within our Government Market in the Building Structural Discipline, working on building and facilities projects as well as other structural projects across Hanson’s markets. Other office locations may be considered based on candidate qualifications.

Designed for professional learning and growth, you will support a broad range of structural engineering assignments to include buildings and industrial projects.

Essential Job Functions / Responsibilities

Assist and participate in design engineering.

Conduct analysis, design, calculation, and preparation of specifications, details, and construction plans.

Assist and participate in construction engineering.

Observe and document construction activity.

Evaluate construction compliance with contract documents.

Interpret plans for design intent.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with additional coursework in structural engineering.

FE (EIT) required.

Master’s degree in Structural Engineering desired.

Technical Skills

Proficient with AutoCAD/Civil 3D, Revit, BIM, and structural design software (STAAD, RISA, etc.).

Soft Skills

Ability to work as a team member and independently.

Desire to learn new skills and self‑motivation.

Excellent interpersonal communication skills.

Working at Hanson

Collaboration remotely with colleagues in other offices.

Willingness to accept out‑of‑town travel assignments and overtime to meet project demands.

Valid driver’s license.

Salary The salary range for this position is $75,000 – $82,000 per year.
