Coordinator Role Overview
Coordinate comprehensive cell therapy care across all areas of the bone marrow transplant program. Provide quality patient, family, and donor support pre‑ and post‑transplant. Act as a nurse member of a multidisciplinary team, supervising clerical staff and guiding clinical direction for inpatient and ambulatory settings. Develop and implement patient and nursing education programs, ensuring continuity and coordination for the bone marrow transplant population.

Qualifications Current nursing license in Michigan.
Required Educational Requirement
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Associate’s degree or diploma in Nursing and a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)
Minimum of two (2) years recent experience within the last five years in bone marrow transplant and/or acute leukemia (Heme/Onc) RN roles. Minimum of two (2) years recent experience in cell therapy.
NOTE: Applicants must have met or will have met all required qualifications prior to the start date of employment.

Nurse Coordinator Experience
Preferred one (1) year of nurse coordinator experience within the past three (3) years.
Preferred six (6) months of lead or charge nurse experience within the past three (3) years.
Proven leadership ability demonstrated by previous employment and references.
Experience in goal setting, teamwork promotion, and problem solving as evidenced by evaluations.
Proficiency in MICHART, EPIC, Cisco Finesse, Word, and Excel.
OCN or BMTCN certification.
Master’s degree (MSN)
Salary & Nursing Framework Level Posted under the Role‑Specific Advancement Model (RSAM): CCC‑COMPETENT NE. Actual RSAM level and salary will be determined at time of hire. RSAM levels range from CCC‑COMPETENT NE to CCC‑EXPERT NE to CCC‑MASTERY PLUS NE.
Hours and Shift Hours: 40 hrs/wk (1.0 FTE) Shift: Day Shift, Monday‑Friday Location: C&W Mott Hospital‑Adult Bone Marrow Transplant Clinic
All new employees are expected to float in times of low census.
This position is covered under the collective bargaining agreement between the U‑M and the Michigan Nurses Association and the U‑M Professional Nurse Council union.
