The Department of Radiology at The MetroHealth System , a major teaching affiliate of Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, is offering exciting opportunities for an Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) to join our team performing GI/GU Fluoroscopy procedures. Summary
This NP or PA will deliver direct patient care consistent with the nurse practitioner or physician assistant's education, experience, and certification, in collaboration with a physician, which includes diagnosis, management and/or referral of health care issues. Promotes consumer, family, and community health through preventative health care actions and through patient advocacy. Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System. This position is 1.0 FTE with an appointment in the Department of Radiology. The clinical responsibilities require training and expertise in the following skillsets: Fluoroscopic procedures including but not limited to Barium swallow, follow through, enema, speech pathology studies, fluoroscopy-guided joint injections US/CT guided biopsy/FNA, drain placements, Lumbar Puncture/myelogram, arthrograms, line placements (PICC lines, chest port, dialysis catheters, etc.) and other image-guided procedures on both adult and pediatric patients Your participation will be tailored to your skillsets during training/current practice Excellent mentorship by Radiologists is available You will be working 5 weekdays of 8-hour shifts. You currently will not need to provide call coverage and/or work weekends. Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care within scope of practice in collaboration with a supervising physician Perform and assist with fluoroscopic and image-guided procedures as listed Participate in training and practice development with Radiology team Maintain adherence to standards of care and regulatory requirements Qualifications
Nurse Practitioner required credentials
Graduate of an accredited DNP or MSN Advanced Practice Registered Nurse program Current RN and APRN license in the state of Ohio Board Certification as Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in a family nurse practitioner or dual certified adult/pediatric nurse practitioner specialty Current BLS Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or obtain within first year of practice Meets the requirements/qualifications for medical staff clinical privileges in the specialty/department within MetroHealth Maintains a standard care arrangement with physician and renews as required by the Ohio Board of Nursing Physician Assistant required credentials
Graduate of an accredited Doctoral or MS Physician Assistant program Current PA licensure in the State of Ohio Board Certification as a Physician Assistant from NCCP Current BLS Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or obtain within first year of practice Meets the requirements/qualifications for medical staff clinical privileges in the specialty/department within MetroHealth Maintains a supervision agreement with physician and renews as required by the Ohio Board of Medicine Compensation and Benefits
