The Department of Radiology at The MetroHealth System, a major teaching affiliate of Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, is offering an exciting opportunity for an Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) to join our team performing GI/GU fluoroscopy procedures.
Summary
This NP or PA will deliver direct patient care consistent with the nurse practitioner or physician assistants education, experience, and certification, in collaboration with a physician, which includes diagnosis, management and/or referral of health care issues. Promotes consumer, family, and community health through preventative health care actions and through patient advocacy. Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.
Responsibilities
Deliver direct patient care in collaboration with Radiology physicians, with responsibilities tailored to training and current practice.
Perform GI/GU fluoroscopy procedures and related image-guided interventions as appropriate to skillset, including involvement in procedures such as fluoroscopic studies and other listed image-guided services.
Participate in mentorship and collaboration with Radiologists to ensure quality care and patient safety.
Work a 5-day workweek with 8-hour shifts; no current call coverage or weekend requirements.
Qualifications
Nurse Practitioner Required Credentials
Graduate of an accredited DNP or MSN Advanced Practice Registered Nurse program
Current RN and APRN license in the state of Ohio
Board Certification as Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in a family nurse practitioner or dual certified adult/pediatric nurse practitioner specialty
Current BLS
Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or obtain within first year of practice
Meets the requirements/qualifications for medical staff clinical privileges in the specialty/department within MetroHealth
Maintains a standard care arrangement with physician and renews as required by the Ohio Board of Nursing
Physician Assistant Required Credentials
Graduate of an accredited Doctoral or MS Physician Assistant program
Current PA licensure in the State of Ohio
Board Certification as a Physician Assistant from NCCP
Current BLS
Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or obtains within first year of practice
Meets the requirements/qualifications for medical staff clinical privileges in the specialty/department within MetroHealth
Maintains a supervision agreement with physician and renews as required by the Ohio Board of Medicine
