Nurse Clinician - Oncology acts as a clinician, educator, consultant, researcher and leader relevant to the needs of oncology patients and family members, nursing personnel and the healthcare system. This role serves as a clinical resource and expert in oncology, communicating needs and coordinating services among health care team members to ensure quality oncology patient care and improved outcomes. The Nurse Clinician demonstrates knowledge of professional nursing theory and practice, clinical competency and professional development, and utilizes patient/family centered care as the foundation for nursing practice. Responsibilities
In the area of oncology specialty, the Nurse Clinician - Oncology acts as a clinician, educator, consultant, researcher and leader relevant to the needs of oncology patients and family members, nursing personnel and the healthcare system. Qualifications
Required: 1 year in oncology, palliative, head and neck experience or 3 years general nursing experience Associate Degree Registered Nurse (KY) Desired: Bachelor Degree Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) or certification relevant to oncology Job Details
