Join to apply for the Echocardiography Technologist role at Ascension. Location: Manhattan, Kansas. Schedule: Full-time, daytime hours varying between 7:00 am and 5:30 pm, with the possibility of 8- or 10-hour shifts, Monday through Friday. Occasional weekend or holiday coverage may be required for acute needs. Department: Interventional Radiology. Responsibilities
Perform diagnostic procedures to assess cardiac structures and hemodynamics in accordance with accepted protocols. Set up and adjust imaging equipment and manually maneuver transducers to perform exams. Implement safety standards and perform appropriate quality control procedures. Perform routine and complex studies and assist in a variety of imaging procedures. Recognize significant structures, artifacts, pathology and equipment limitations. Position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately. Ensure all activities comply with regulatory agency standards. Ensure prompt submission of high-quality images and documents to PACS (image quality, correct lead markers and patient data/history). Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly department including procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, and film storage areas. Requirements
Licensure/Certification/Registration: BLS Provider (American Heart Association or American Red Cross) within 30 days of hire date or job transfer date. One or more of the following: Cardiographic Tech credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) within 12 months of hire date. Cardiographic Tech specializing in Vascular Interpretation (CCI) within 12 months of hire date. Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography (ARRT) within 12 months of hire date. Cardiac Sonographer (ARDMS) within 12 months of hire date. Medical Sonographer (ARDMS) within 12 months of hire date. Sonography Tech specializing in Cardiac (CCI) within 12 months of hire date. Sonography Tech specializing in Vascular Sonography (ARDMS) within 12 months of hire date. Education: High school diploma or equivalent with 2 years of cumulative experience OR an Associate's/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience. Preferences
