Senior Project Manager - Ports & Maritime role at Jacobs, based in the Virginia Beach area. Jacobs is seeking to deliver complex maritime infrastructure development and coastal resilience projects from planning through construction and to contribute to a global portfolio of projects. What you'll do
Plan, staff, schedule, and budget projects while ensuring quality of work product and consistency across projects. Coordinate with subcontractors, internal support staff, and subject matter experts. Manage project financials, delivery, and client relationships. Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team of engineers, planners, architects, and scientists to deliver complex projects in the Hampton Roads region and beyond. Assist in local marketing and business development, track future project opportunities, lead proposal preparation, and participate in interviews and presentations. Contribute to the growth of Jacobs’ Ports & Maritime practice in Virginia and beyond. Responsibilities (expanded)

Required qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or related Engineering At least 12 years of experience in the management of waterfront infrastructure projects Experience in the design and design management of waterfront projects and facilities Ability to work with a team of local and remote multi-disciplinary engineers, design managers, and subject matter experts Ability to manage contract documents, design basis, technical specifications, and other client deliverables Experience in the preparation of technical and cost proposals Strong communication skills and ability to interface with clients and stakeholders Preferred qualifications
Master’s degree in Engineering Professional Engineer (PE) License in Virginia or ability to apply for reciprocity or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification Experience with cost estimating and services during construction Existing client relationships with port authorities or organizations involved in waterfront or coastal resilience projects Location & travel
The role supports in Virginia Beach, Richmond, Reston or Hampton, VA, and may also involve Baltimore or Silver Spring, MD. In-person collaboration with the Ports & Maritime team and client base in the Virginia Beach area is expected. Relocation assistance may be provided. Hybrid working policy available. Benefits and pay
The base pay range for this position is $130,000.00 to $200,000.00 per year. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and job-related skills, experience, and education. Jacobs offers health, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k), stock purchase options, and other programs, including possible PTO and holidays. Base pay range: $130,000.00/yr - $200,000.00/yr. This range is provided by Jacobs; actual pay will be based on skills and experience.
