This role supports the Ports and Maritime team in Hampton Roads, delivering complex maritime infrastructure development and coastal resilience projects from planning through construction, with exposure to our global portfolio.
Responsibilities
Plan, staff, schedule, and budget projects while ensuring quality of work product and staff safety.
Coordinate with subcontractors and a multi-disciplinary team of engineers, planners, architects, scientists, and subject matter experts to deliver innovative and cost-effective solutions.
Manage project financials, delivery, and client relationships; contribute to growth of Jacobs’ Ports and Maritime portfolio in the region and beyond.
Work with the Sales team on pursuits and delivery of waterfront projects.
Travel as needed; collaborate in-person with the Ports and Maritime team and clients in the Virginia Beach area; relocation assistance may be provided.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or related Engineering
At least 7 years of experience in the delivery and/or management of waterfront infrastructure projects
Experience in design or design management of waterfront projects or facilities
Ability to work with a team of local and remote multi-disciplinary engineers and subject matter experts
Ability to manage the successful delivery of contract documents, design basis, technical specifications, and other client deliverables
Experience in preparing technical and cost proposals to deliver winning proposals
Good communication skills and ability to interface with clients and stakeholders
Ideally, you’ll also have
Master’s degree in Engineering
Location and relocation Potential locations include Virginia Beach, VA; Richmond or Reston, VA; Hampton, VA; Baltimore, MD; or Silver Spring, MD. The role involves significant in-person collaboration with the local Ports and Maritime team and clients in the Virginia Beach area. Relocation assistance may be provided.
Compensation and benefits Base pay range:
$100,000.00/yr - $135,000.00/yr .
