Senior Transportation Planning Engineer – Project Manager Join GFT as a Senior Transportation Planning Engineer with Project Management responsibilities. This role is based in Texas across multiple offices including Houston, Dallas, Fort Worth, San Antonio, Austin, El Paso, and McAllen.

What You Will Do Lead transportation planning and engineering projects, ensuring compliance with federal, state and local regulations.

Responsibilities

Manage multimodal transportation planning and preliminary engineering projects for public and private sector transportation projects.

Coordinate with clients and other consultants as part of a project team.

Lead technical disciplines and specialty consultants in the development of transportation planning and engineering projects.

Track and manage project scopes, budgets and schedules.

Participate in business development activities and develop proposals for project pursuits.

Assist with staff training and development.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related degree.

Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.

8-15 years of progressive industry experience focused on public sector clients.

Experience with corridor studies, mobility plans, grants, traffic engineering and operation, preliminary engineering and cost estimate, and rail grade separation planning and design.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Independent and collaborative project management capabilities.

Knowledge of project management procedures, tools, and software.

Knowledge of GIS, CAD, Synchro, and Highway Capacity Manual procedures.

Master’s Degree with a Transportation Focus preferred.

Compensation The salary range for this role is $120,000 – $190,000, dependent on experience and geographic location.
