Program Manager, Deputy General Manager

Overview Supports the General Manager, Government Programs in overseeing programs, activities, initiatives, goals and objectives across the portfolio. Provides alignment, standardization and leadership support for a global portfolio of maintenance, supply chain and flight operations programs. Coordinates financial objectives, develops Basis of Estimates and Concept of Operations for key capture initiatives, and ensures compliance and execution of program activities and business unit initiatives.
Responsibilities
Reports to the General Manager of Government Programs
Supports overall management and performance of contracts in accordance with the PWS/SoW
Serves as the primary focal point for program status on behalf of the General Manager
Ensures CDRL Management, Program Management Reviews (PMR) and associated staff functions are completed and standardized
Supports identification and achievement of program cost targets and financial goals; manages task priorities and operational constraints
Manages subcontractors to ensure compliance with subcontract obligations
Provides daily supervision and direction to assigned staff
Ensures compliance with safety and regulatory requirements
Travel required (up to 30%)
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (Arts, Science, or Business Administration) from a four‑year institution or ten (10)+ years related experience
Minimum of seven (7)+ years in aerospace logistics, maintenance or supply chain with military operating environment exposure
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Desired Qualifications
Experience with DoD and Foreign Military Sales contracts
PMP certificate or similar program management credential

Position based at corporate office, Chicago area; 4 days in‑office, 1 day remote
Compensation Salary range: $150,000 – $175,000 annually. Includes base pay, potential bonus, relocation allowance for non‑Chicago residents, and competitive benefits.
