Description Supports the General Manager, Government Programs in overseeing programs, activities, initiatives, goals and objectives across the portfolio. Supports and ensures the successful execution and compliance of related program activities and business unit initiatives. Provides alignment and standardization of plans and program outcomes for a global portfolio of maintenance, supply chain, and flight operations programs. Assists in the coordination and achievement of financial objectives including plans and forecasts in concert with operational and contract achievement. Develops Basis of Estimates and supports Concept of Operations development for key capture initiatives. Provides additional leadership support during program standups and difficult programs on an as‑needed basis. The Program Manager, Deputy General Manager will coordinate efforts with end user counterparts, including, but not limited to, providing focus on maintaining schedules, managing costs, meeting contractual commitments, improving customer service, and enhancing the operational efficiency of the teams.

Responsibilities

Reports to the General Manager of Government Programs.

Supports overall management and performance of contracts IAW the PWS/SoW.

Serves as the primary focal point for program status on behalf of the General Manager.

Ensures CDRL Management, Program Management Reviews (PMR), and associated staff functions such as MIS/IT management are completed and standardized.

Supports identification and achievement of program cost targets and financial goals. Manages task priorities, short‑notice suspense, operational constraints, and other potential impacts to maintain deadlines and schedule requirements.

Manages subcontractors when/where required to ensure compliant completion of subcontract obligations.

Provides daily supervision and direction to any assigned staff.

Responsible for complying with all safety and compliance regulations.

Travel is required.

All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Required Qualifications

Bachelor of Arts degree (B.A.) or Bachelor of Science degree (B.S.) or Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) from a four‑year college or university; or ten (10)+ years related experience.

Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in aerospace logistics, maintenance or supply chain, with exposure to military operating environments.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Desired Qualifications

Prior experience with the Department of Defense and Foreign Military Sales contracts.

PMP certificate or similar academic program management credential or background.

Physical Demands / Work Environment

Must be able to lift and carry boxes and other awkward items weighing up to 50 lbs, including up and down stairs.

Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, squatting, stretching, and bending throughout the workday.

Must be able to see and hear, or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately to assure that the requirements of this position can be fully met.

Must be able to travel up to 30% of the time.

This position is required to be based at our corporate offices, located in the Chicago area.

Currently, employees work in‑office 4 days per week and 1 day remote.

Compensation The anticipated salary range for this position is $150,000 to $175,000 annually. This range reflects the base salary for candidates who meet the requirements of the role, including experience, education, and location. In addition to base pay, this role is eligible for a bonus. The selected candidate will be offered a relocation allowance if they do not reside in the Chicago area.
