This full-time role supports Financial Advisors with a broad supply of municipal bonds, focusing on best execution and risk management in a dynamic capital markets environment. Timely and accurately manage the firm's client retail order flow with municipal bonds in both principal and agency capacities up to specified order and aggregate limits (large levels) Manage municipal bond flows across multiple account types, including Brokerage, Investment Advisory, Trust, and UMA; assist with ongoing expansion of these programs and their impact on the product line Manage firm trading capital for both individual security transactions and at the portfolio level up to large limits Enhance the suite of municipal bonds available for purchase from firm inventory or the market, in accordance with firm guidance Identify and source liquidity for municipal bonds across a spectrum of liquidity profiles and market conditions Apply risk management techniques in trading, systems, and regulatory risk areas Evaluate and analyze data to inform trading-related decisions using coding/reporting tools Perform daily trading-related responsibilities, including pricing evaluation, relative value, key ratios, and more Demonstrate market structure, capital markets analytics, economic variables, and trading strategies Understand and respond to changing market conditions and industry trends Enhance best execution and comply with firm and regulatory requirements Use internal and external trading systems and related tools, including testing, troubleshooting, and development where appropriate Initiate and own client service excellence enhancements aligned with human-centered wealth management Drive operational excellence initiatives to scale volumes and quality of workflows Expand external networks to source supply, manage liquidity, and generate market insights Develop and coach other traders on product, service, systems, and regulatory aspects at the department level Hiring Details
Base pay range: $99,200.00/yr - $168,900.00/yr Hiring Minimum: $99,200 Hiring Maximum: $168,900 What Experience You Need
B.A./B.S. in business, economics, finance, or a quantitative related field SIE, Series 7 (Top-Off), 52 and 66 required; additional desk-specific licenses within 6 months Successful completion of Trader II responsibilities or equivalent industry experience 6+ years of financial services experience; capital markets preferred Expert knowledge of capital markets analytics, trading strategies, and risk management techniques Expert knowledge of internal and external trading systems and related tools (e.g., Bloomberg, 3rd party electronic trading platforms) Experience with trading and risk controls in a regulated environment What Could Set You Apart
CFP, MBA, CFA, CPA or related designations preferred Locations: Tempe, AZ and St. Louis, MO; in-office three days per week preferred (Tue–Thu). Current Internal Home-Based Associates
