Supported Living Service (SLS) Personal Attendant Trainer (Weekend)

Responsibilities include:
Working 24-hour or 48-hour shifts on weekends (from Friday night to Sunday night) or holidays, including AWAKE and SLEEP hours with different pay rates.
Providing personal care, supervision, and support at participants' residences and during community activities to promote success in their living arrangements.
Conducting personalized assistance and training to improve health, independence, and life skills.
Planning and implementing Person-Centered Thinking (PCT) activities that foster independence and community integration, requiring creativity during extended shifts.
Transporting participants for essential activities and community engagement, and promoting recreational opportunities during long shifts.
Additional responsibilities include documenting services, supervising personal care tasks, developing enrichment activities, organizing community outings, engaging in recreational and life skills activities, offering emotional support, implementing behavioral strategies, managing medications, and ensuring safety throughout shifts.
Minimum requirements:
High school diploma required; higher education preferred.
At least one year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or a strong enthusiasm to learn.
Effective communication skills in English, proficiency with electronic devices, ability to conduct training, and adapt to long shifts.
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs, perform mobility tasks, and extensive driving with a reliable vehicle and insurance.
Personality traits including patience, empathy, creativity, reliability, positivity, and teamwork skills.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and overnight shifts.
Must pass background checks, health screening, TB test, and obtain CPR/First Aid certification within one month.
