Overview
Location: Mentor, Ohio. Employment type: Full-time. Lead project teams to drive the delivery and implementation of major capital projects (> $30 MM USD). May be required to manage projects simultaneously at multiple sites.
Responsibilities
Full project life cycle ownership from conceptual design (prepare estimates and detailed project plan for all phases) through initiation and deployment for assigned projects.
Manage all aspects of projects to ensure the overall program is aligned to and directly supports the achievement of strategic objectives. Includes: project scope and changes, day-to-day project activities and resources; chairs the project management team meetings; understands interdependencies between technology, operations, and business needs; participate and/or drive feasibility studies; vendor selections and proposals for evaluation by appropriate key stakeholders; define the Statement of Work and Specifications for the requested goods and services; monitor, track, and control workstreams to resolve issues, conflicts, dependencies, and critical path deliverables.
Extensive understanding of project and program management principles, methods, and techniques.
Intimately familiar with the requirements of Process Safety Management. Capable of leading basic and detailed Risk Assessments, HAZOPs, MOC's, PSSR's, LOPA, developing and implementing SIS.
Provide status reporting regarding project milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks, and issues, communicating across leadership.
Participate in establishing practices, templates, policies, & tools to improve management of capital projects.
Travel up to 50% of the time.
Qualifications
BS Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering required (Chemical Engineering preferred).
15-20 years of proven experience in Project Management with ability to manage multiple projects.
Ability to multi-task effectively and execute multiple projects at various stages.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills required.
Strong technical and data analysis skills required.
A demonstrated ability to learn new chemistries and processes.
