ASL Clinicians:
Provide direct clinical care for Deaf, DeafBlind, and hard of hearing children, adolescents, and adults in an outpatient setting. This position participates in a multi-disciplinary team that provides comprehensive clinical services, with a strengths-based, person-centered, and culturally responsive approach. Knowledge or ability to learn and practice trauma informed principles and practices. Provide diagnostic mental health assessments as well as individual, family, play, couple, and/or group psychotherapy, crisis intervention, and case management. Develop treatment plans, monitor treatment progress and follow-up as clinically indicated. Facilitate the coordination of medication needs with psychiatric, case management, and medical resources. Support individual and family growth with an emphasis on strengths and resiliency. Collaborate with internal and external partners to support growth and development. Deliver services effectively via telehealth video platforms and in-person settings. Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation consistent with agency standards. Participate in team meetings, in-services, and supervisory sessions as required. Other duties as assigned. Requirements & Qualifications
Education:
Master’s Degree in social work or doctorate in psychology. Licenses:
Current license as an LCSW or Licensed Psychologist in the State of Colorado or imminently license eligible. LAC a plus. Experience:
At least 2 years of experience providing individual, family, and/or group therapy. Experience providing clinical behavioral health services to Deaf, hard of hearing and DeafBlind individuals. Play therapy and substance use treatment experience preferred. Familiarity with sign language interpreting, CART services, hearing assistive technology, and other communication access tools. Strong knowledge of diverse linguistic, cultural, psychosocial, access and communication needs of Deaf, hard of hearing, and DeafBlind populations. TB screening is required prior to hire and maintained during employment. Skills and Competencies
Proficiency in American Sign Language required. Knowledge and training in psychotherapy methods. Knowledge of best practices for Deaf, DeafBlind, and hard of hearing individuals. Knowledge of community resources. Ability to assess crisis situations and intervene appropriately. Familiarity with DSM-5-TR and diagnostic techniques. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work effectively on a team and on a flexible schedule. Knowledge of trauma-informed care principles/practices. Ability to navigate an electronic medical record and use technology effectively. Able to establish engagement and therapeutic alliances quickly with a strengths-based focus. Ability to partner with persons served and families to support wellness, resiliency, and recovery. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Provide psychoeducation and support groups for various age groups. Provide case management and coordination services as needed.
