Responsibilities
Is expected to perform duties in alignment with the mission and policies of the organization. Performs duties in support of and in compliance with the performance improvement plan, Joint Commission, and other licensing, accrediting, and regulatory agencies. Supports the Nurse Manager in managing and coordinating clinical operations to provide quality direct patient care to pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations. Ensures all documentation, care planning, and patient care delivery meet regulatory requirements. Fosters a positive team environment and facilitates an optimal environment for orientation and competency validation. Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: Current CA RN License, BLS certification, and ACLS required. ACLS for new grads within 6 months of hire. 1-2 years of previous acute care experience required or hired through the RN Versant program. Education level necessary to obtain required licensure and certifications. Bedside Dysphagia Screen Competency. Care of Stroke patient competency. Basic Computer Skills. Preferred Qualifications: BSN preferred. NIH Stroke certification preferred. Overview
Bakersfield Memorial Hospital includes 385 general acute beds, 48 licensed critical care beds, 13 surgical suites, and a full-service Emergency Department with an Accredited Chest Pain Center and a Certified Stroke Center. We also offer a Family Care and Birthing Center, the Lauren Small Children's Center with a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, Level II NICU, Sarvanand Heart and Brain Center with Kern County's first Bi-Plane Interventional Suite, the Center for Wound Care and Hyperbarics, and more.
