In FY2016, UBHC served over 16,000 consumers and provided extensive training to various state departments.

Posting Summary Rutgers University seeks a

Mental Health Clinician III

for the Early Intervention Support Services (EISS) Hunterdon Outpatient unit. The role involves evaluating, assessing, and providing therapeutic interventions to meet the psychological, emotional, and social needs of clients. Responsibilities include developing treatment plans, conducting therapy sessions, and case management.

Participate actively in departmental functions and demonstrate initiative and flexibility.

Support an environment that promotes dignity and positive self-image for clients.

Provide individual, group, and family therapy based on sound clinical judgment.

Adapt assessment and treatment to individual needs considering age, culture, and other factors.

Involve clients and families in treatment planning and review processes.

Identify resources, perform case management, and ensure proper documentation and coordination of services.

Formulate treatment plans that are realistic, measurable, and reflect client strengths and goals.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

Master's Degree in a mental health discipline. Licensure

Must be licensed to practice in New Jersey; Social Work applicants need active certification/licensure; valid driver's license required. Skills & Abilities

Proficiency in clinical assessment, therapy, case management, and documentation. Ability to work in a team and handle sensitive situations.

Physical Demands & Environment Must be able to speak clearly, write proficiently, and implement safety precautions. Work involves sitting for extended periods, exposure to moderate noise, and potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens and unpredictable situations in community settings.
