Overview
Rutgers University Behavioral Health Care (UBHC) seeks a Mental Health Clinician II - CSS Middlesex. UBHC, established in 1971, provides a full continuum of evidence-based behavioral health and addiction services across New Jersey with a large network of professionals, sites, and programs. Responsibilities
Serve as the senior mental health practitioner, providing lead functions for the program including screening of intakes and referrals, care coordination, and ensuring completion of program-specific documentation. Provide comprehensive assessment and therapeutic intervention for the psychological and social needs of child and adolescent (ages 3-17) and/or adult individuals served (18+) including development of treatment plans, conducting individual, group, and family therapy, and providing case management. Assist with clinical supervision for licensing candidates as assigned. Lead orientation, training, and team leadership within the department; participate meaningfully in supervision/consultation; contribute to program development. Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience: Master’s Degree in a mental health discipline plus two (2) years post-master’s experience in delivering psychotherapeutic services to the identified population, or a Doctorate Degree. Certifications/Licenses: Independent license to practice as required by New Jersey state laws (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, LCADC, Licensed Psychologist). Social Work degree holders must have active NJ certification/licensure. Valid driver’s license required. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to speak clearly and write/type proficiently; ability to implement universal precautions and safety precautions. Preferred Qualifications
