Overview
Laboratory Supervisor is responsible for supervision over multiple functions which may include oversight of laboratory testing for core lab, monitoring the workflow from sample processing to departmental results reporting, and providing day-to-day guidance on teammate performance. The position evaluates and monitors compliance with service guarantees and specimen quality requirements and ensures adherence to corporate standard policies and procedures related to job performance, customer interactions, teammate relations, and information confidentiality. This is a licensed technical supervisor role and may work a designated shift (day/evening/night). This position reports to the Manager, Laboratory (Lab). Responsibilities
Supervise multiple laboratory functions, including oversight of core lab testing, workflow monitoring from sample processing through results reporting, and day-to-day guidance on teammate performance. Evaluate and monitor compliance with service guarantees and specimen quality requirements. Ensure adherence to corporate policies and procedures related to job performance, customer interactions, teammate relations, and information confidentiality. Operate as a licensed technical supervisor and support a designated shift as needed (day/evening/night). Report to the Manager, Laboratory (Lab). Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in medical technology, biological sciences, or related field. Minimum of 6-8 years’ experience as a Medical Technologist/Supervisor. FL Supervisors license in Chemistry. Certified by a professional laboratory certifying agency (e.g., ASCP, AMT). Company Description
