The Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation is a Tribal health care organization, serving nearly 30,000 people living across rural, southwest Alaska in villages with populations from about 10 to more than 1,000. Bethel, the regional hub and location of the only hospital in the region, has a population of nearly 7,000. The Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta is home to thousands of lakes and two primary rivers—the Kuskokwim and Yukon.

Position Responsibilities

Primarily responsible for facilitating the daily operation of YK Residential facilities and the associated programming. Supervisory responsibilities for psychiatric technicians (as directed). Reports directly to facility Clinical Coordinators unless otherwise directed.

Position Qualifications

High school diploma or GED. RHS certification preferred. Two (2) years supervised experience with children and families performed at a satisfactorily level. Experience in a cross-cultural setting required preferably with Native American cultures. Advanced levels of education may be substituted for experience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; computer skills for basic data entry necessary. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
