University of California, San Francisco . This role is part of Transportation Services - Parking and reports to the Parking Manager/Supervisor. The Parking Representative performs a variety of functions within the Transportation Department, including valet, customer service ambassador, garage rover, traffic director, and parking enforcement officer. The incumbent may act as an ambassador or greeter for Transportation programs and services as needed and must be willing to work at any UCSF location on short notice and to work overtime as needed. Responsibilities
Provide valet, customer service, and parking-related support in assigned UCSF locations. Serve as a garage rover, traffic director, and parking enforcement officer as needed. Act in accordance with departmental procedures and standards for daily operations and the Transportation Department Operations manual. Assist as an ambassador/greeter for Transportation programs and services. Qualifications
High School diploma/GED or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. Minimum of 2-year valet and/or related parking industry work experience. Valid California Driver’s License and an excellent driving record; no license restrictions other than for corrective lenses. Applicants must present a current DMV record with their application/resume. Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly and effectively. Ability to operate manual, automatic, and electric vehicles in and out of tight parking spaces quickly and efficiently. Basic computer skills for valet operations and administrative duties. Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations. Professional, courteous, and efficient interaction with the public, faculty, staff, and co-workers; ability to function well under stress. Demonstrated record of exceptional attendance, punctuality, and customer service. Adherence to organizational policies, procedures, and standards. Preferred Qualifications
Experience in customer service. Experience working in a health or medical center-related environment. License/Certification
Valid California Driver’s License and an excellent driving record required; no license restrictions other than for corrective lenses. Class C with CA DMW H6 Driving Record Report. Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this position is $20.89 - $28.12 per hour. The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range depends on work experience and internal equity. For represented positions, placement within the salary range follows the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.
