One year of recent experience as a Rehab RN Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC) Preferred Qualifications
ACLS certification NIHSS certification Other certifications and licenses may be required for this position Summary
The Rehabilitation Nurse (Rehab RN) provides comprehensive care to patients recovering from injuries, surgeries, or illnesses that require rehabilitative treatment. This role includes nursing assessments, implementing care plans, monitoring progress, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to support patient recovery and safety. Essential Work Functions
Complete nursing assessments and document in patient records Educate and prepare patients for procedures and post-operative care Coordinate holistic patient care, including mobility support, rehabilitation exercises, and ADLs, aligned with individualized care plans Monitor patient responses to therapies, document progress, and communicate deviations to the team Administer prescribed medications and treatments with proper documentation and safety Maintain a clean, organized environment and ensure supplies/equipment are available Assist with safe patient transport to therapy sessions or diagnostic procedures as needed Perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice Adhere to safety protocols, infection control, and regulatory standards Required Essential Skills
Critical thinking, service excellence, and strong interpersonal communication English language literacy and ability to read/write Ability to follow written and verbal instructions; proficiency with PCs Physical ability to move, lift (50-100 lbs), push/pull, and bend Ability to work with a variety of personnel with professionalism Technical/motor skills for procedures and equipment Mental agility to handle deadlines and variable schedules; able to work with or without supervision Sensory: visual acuity and effective communication Benefits Include
